Meriden Sports and Recreational Trust
Welcome to the Meriden Sports & Recreation Trust

About Us

The Trust is a charity, set up in January 2016 to support and improve provision for amateur sports, recreational activities and other leisure time activities for all sections of the community in Meriden. We believe that this will enhance the health and well-being of our community.

Meriden is the Centre of England. This has been marked for centuries by an ancient cross on the village green. Also on the Green stands the national memorial to cyclists who died in the World Wars. Meriden is a centre for cyclists and for walkers.

Opposite the Green is Meriden Sports Park, opened in 2011. We support the upkeep and development of the Sports Park and, when resources allow, support other sports and recreational activities in Meriden Parish.

Small Grants Programme

Each year, when funds allow, the Trust launches a Small Grants Programme with an invitation to voluntary organisations to apply for support for their own sports and recreation projects and activities that benefit residents of the parish. See what a difference these grants have already made.
